ProPrint Digital Top Award Winner at 2014 PIA Graphex Awards

Kansas City, MO April 24, 2014. The Printing & Imaging Association of MidAmerica honored ProPrint Digital of Kansas City with eleven (11) individual awards in the Association’s 14th Annual Awards Gala known as the Graphex Awards competition. The presentations were made recently at the Annual Awards Gala held in the Governor’s Room at the American Royal Complex in Kansas City. The Graphex Awards competition includes companies from the PIA MidAmerica membership in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri, with several hundred member companies eligible for the competition.

ProPrint Digital won one (1) Best of Division Gold Award, nine (9) Best of Category Awards and the Best Use of Ink Award. A Best of Division Award is selected from all entries in the Division regardless of the category. A Best of Category Award is the first place award in the category in which the printed item is entered. No other Kansas City area printer won more than six (6) awards, making ProPrint Digital the big winner of the evening. ProPrint Digital has won more than 100 awards over the past eleven (11) years they have participated in the Graphex Awards competition. A panel of four independent judges from outside the associations geographical area judges each entry based on technical difficulty as well as the entrants attention to detail in meeting industry quality standards.

ProPrint Digital is currently in its 33rd year of operation and has 20 years experience in the production of full-color, short run and variable data printing. ProPrint Digital was one of the early adaptors of digital technology with the purchase of one of the very first Heidelberg Quickmaster four (4) color direct imaging presses in the Midwest more than 18 years ago. Variable data color printing, data base marketing and cross media campaigns with QR codes, purls and e-mail triggers have shown to increase response rates from direct mail and marketing collateral by as much as 800%, according to the Digital Printing Council’s research.
